Oww oww oww. I've got painful back at the moment but somehow it doesn't feel quite so bad now.
Although, I must say I have no sympathy for those who are getting owned by the Bulls. Payback.

this could start a really long debate about bullfights, which btw i think i'd be the only one who likes this kind of events. considered by many as cruelty and innecesary animal mistreating. i hope this doesn't turn into something similar to the "quit smoking" thread. i suppose most of the people present here haven't had a chance to actually witness a bullfight live and i pretend by no means to convince you to do it. what i mean is, if you have the chance to go to one you should do it, then you can criticize with all the elements. i must say, there are aspects of the bullfights that no one likes, the known "picadores", who are like sancho panzas riding horses and stabbing the bulls. everyone in the "plaza" yells nasty things at them. a very important part of the "corrida" is the background music - live band playing "pasos dobles" and increasing the intensity of the moment. what i consider worth watching are the "rajoneadores" which are bullfighters on a horse, the most famous of them is pablo hermoso de mendoza (you can watch it on youtube if interested), and of course, when the bulls hit the bullfighter

hopefully this will not turn into something similar to the quit smoking thread but I've actually seen a bull fight in the Plaza del Toros in Madrid(?)..and it isn't something I'd go to see again
..I know you can say the same with our hockey..but the difference is bec these are animals then they are quite powerless and don't have much say in what people can/wants to do with them...I know there's a lot of culture which revolves around bullfighting and it's appreciated and enjoyed by people who are into it...but yes, the bullfighter can't complain much if he gets a good one in his....leg ...big ouch..... -casandra-

If such bull and cock fights would satisfy human need for violence, we should have world cup events. But, there are millions of those who would better kill their fellow humans than a bull.

We did not say bullfights are wrong, we only said that humans getting ramed by bulls deserve no sympathy. Payback time, as said MrMop.
We should start such topic though, I enjoy arguing
