Taqman PCR master mix - (Feb/21/2008 )

pls some one help me..wht different between taqman pcr master mx with AmpErase UNG and no AmpErase UNg..before this i used master mix without UNG but is it ok if i want to use master mix with UNG for the same sample..

i guess they are from ABI? should not make much difference, the AmpERASE UNG enzyme just prevents carry-over contamination from previous PCRs, at least as long as you don't have such contaminations.

The AmpErase or dUTP-UNG system can only reduce the risk of carry-over contamination. It does not remove the contamination risk completely. In order to avaoid contamination, GLP is the only way.

Good Laboratory Practice.

In this case all that will prevent cross contamination like physical separation of pre- and post-PCR activities and equipment, use of filter tips, etc.
