SEC HPLC - Baseline resolution (Apr/07/2004 )
I have poor baseline resolution under my peaks of interest. What should I do to improve the seperation of the peaks which should improve my baseline resolution?
Thanx.

More details might be needed. Are you using ultra low wavelengths where oxygen might be a factor?
A true baseline is created in many ways. For example, if you are looking at small DNA molecules extracted from a root extract, the baseline solvent is actually the root extract from where all the DNA has been removed. This is tough to achieve. We strongly recommend a Dowex Mixed Bed resin treatment of your baseline solvent to remove colored / pigmented / unsaturated interference molecules. If your solvent is organic in definition, a silica C-18 run might be worth it.
