Transcription factors studies - (Jan/11/2007 )
Hi!
I want to study the activation of transcription factors in my cells (mainly NFkB, AP-1...).
I saw that you can use several methods for it (WB, EMSA, ELISA kit -transfactor...-, IF). Which one is better? Depending on what you choose one or another? Sensibility?
Thanks!!!!

EMSA is good for TF nuclear protein. High sensitivity with radioactive probe. Good for primary screening

I tried EMSA and Fluorescence polarization. Both work very well. For EMSA you can also run it nonradio-actively using a kit from Pierce.
