IPTG induction - IS IPTG freeze stable? (May/24/2006 )

Hello,
I made a 1M stock of IPTG and froze it. Does anyone know if IPTG is suscepitble to freeze thawing? I have heard some people say they like to make theirs fresh before each use, but that sounds expensive. Any opinions?

i freeze thaw iptg regulary and obtain nice blue white screen.

Freeze thaw has no noticable effect.

I didn't think it did either, but my P.I. suggested I look into it.

We store at 0.5 M with freeze/thawing.

No effect is visible for protein expression purposes.
