Absolutely. I might add that should you have no non-migrating material in the non-antibody containing lanes (i.e., everything migrates fine) then it can be acceptable - and sometimes publishable - to show supershifting by the increase of non-migrating material. I was surprised to see a publication in which the specificity of interaction was accepted a being represented by aggregation of the shift (which subsequently did not leave the well).
