calculating the mean change in a log transformed variable - is it possible? (Jun/21/2009 )

I have a data set that has pre and post intervention data. One of the variables I am intersted in had to be log-transformed because it was not normally distributed. I need to calcualte the mean % change from pre to post for this variable. How do I do that since it is log transformed??
