Good micropippetting - (Jun/29/2015 )

Hi all, can anyone tell me why should we store the micropipettes after use in an upright position in the pipette stand? Thanks...

so that they are easy to grab in a useful position

My supervisor leaves his pipettes lying around on the bench in a pile, all horizontal. And he's not the kind who has experiments that work less than perfectly. So no, you don't always have to store your micropipettes upright.

You don't have to keep kitchen knives in a knife block.  You could just throw them all in a drawer.

But it just looks nicer, is more organized, and a courtesy to other people if all the knives are neatly in place.
