Akta FPLC configuration - (Mar/31/2015 )

We're about to purchase a used Akta FPLC in roughly this configuration. I know they are discontinued and that there is limited long term part availability, but the price is right.

P-920, UPC-900, M-925, M-907, CU-950, FV-903, Frac-900, computer with Unicom 5.31, conductivity cell, UV cell with 254 and 280 nm filters.

What am I missing, and will wish that I had put on the system six months from now?

Hi phage434,
you can state (or pm me) your expected usage and nature of work, and I will help you to evaluate If that will be sufficient. The configuration you had put in is basic level, Just good for very basic level of general chromatography work Which doesn't need high complexity Purification Steps.

So, this is for purifying some protein reagents, such as transposase proteins and cas9 variants. Most will be tagged with 6his, mbp, or other binding domains. I don't anticipate this as a high throughput instrument, or to use it in difficult separations.
