I've had great luck with the Roche master mix, and it is the least expensive one we can buy here.

We also use the Roche master mix.

How much is the price in Australia?

Roche mix works best for our system (but you should know we have Roche machine and RT enzyme) but I wouldn't call it least expensive, it's just the oposite here as I recall (490 EUR for 5ml = 1000 reactions). But we tested this and ABI mixes and Roche mix had slightly lower Cts. Then we tested something from Holland that costed half the price and it didn't show any results at all for some strange reason and the person from that company contacted me repeatedly and wanted to test what went wrong, but I wasn't interested in trying it more, annoying guy.

Pretty pricey actually- but then I haven't looked at the prices of other products. We have the Roche LC480 machine and all of our assays have been worked up using the Roche master mix (probes master) so I'd be hesitant to have to redo all that validation with a new product. (plus Roche have been pretty good with their tech support to date).

We are paying around $4000 AU (which is about $4000 US, and about $2900 Euros) for 10x5ml of the probes master (and usually get a case of 50x 96 well plates for free with that).
