Using conjugated Ab as primary Ab - (Oct/17/2011 )

Hi everyone,
Do you know whether it is possible to use an alkaline phosphatase conjugated antibody as a primary antibody?
I would like to bind it a secondary, flourescently tagged, antibody.
Does the primary antibody conjugation interfere with the binding of the secondary antibody or not?
Thanks in advance,
Matan.

Although the conjugation process is pretty random, there are never more than a few (1-3) molecules of AP on your Ab. I have used biotinylated Abs with secondary Abs with no problem. I suppose AP-conjugates should be more or less the same.

Thanks a lot.

This is definitely possible! Check here: http://www.bioss-usa.com/ecommerce/conjugated-primary-antibodies.htm?conjugation=37
