How to store sample organism for future use - (Sep/17/2010 )

I would like to preserve my mosquitoes for a few months before i extract DNA/RNA from them? Can i keep them in 60% ethanol?

It is one possibility, though I used 70% for insects....anyway best is normally to freeze them directly without any preservative. And be sure that, if you use denatured ethanol, the other ingredients don't interfere with your mosquitoes/DNA...some of these denaturing agents seem to counteract DNA isolation or degrade DNA...

...or snap-freeze in liquid nitrogen and store at -80°C should work!
