Immunoprecipitation....Kits Vs beads - (Jun/22/2010 )

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of using the IP kits (the capture and release ones)? I'm new to IPs and want to do some co-IPs, so wondering should I just buy in the beads or does the kit do a better job??

I have used the beads (Pierce/Thermo Fisher) they work well.

I have both.
my FLAG sigma kit has a affinity gel that antibodies are already bound to it so you skip the antibody binding step.
I have also bought protein G alone from KPL. cat#: 223-51-00
