Preparation of destain solution of the Pro-Q-Diamond phosphoprotein stain - (Jan/24/2010 )

Hi,

Does anyone know how to prepare 1M sodium acetate with a pH 4.0?

I have studied this for some time, but have no clue on the volumes thereof needed, except I know 1M acetic acid should be used for the adjustments of pH.

prepare 1M sodium acetate and 1M acetic acid and add acid to the salt until you reach pH 4. the acetate concentration will remain the same so final volume is of no consequence (unless you end up with too little).
